Our client is a US-based med-tech software house delivering innovative solutions for the medical industry. Leveraging cutting-edge technology, they create user-friendly applications tailored to healthcare providers? needs, including electronic health records, medical imaging, telemedicine platforms, and data analytics tools. Their current project focuses on developing mobile apps that interface with insulin pumps, aiming to revolutionize diabetes care through advanced hybrid closed-loop systems.
Role
- Lead Scrum Ceremonies: Manage and conduct daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, ensuring each session is productive and aligns with agile principles.
- Support Backlog Management: Work closely with Product Owners to maintain and refine the product backlog, ensuring that user stories are well-defined and prioritized effectively.
- Remove Obstacles: Proactively identify and eliminate any impediments that hinder team progress. Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to resolve issues swiftly.
- Champion Agile Methodologies: Serve as an advocate for agile principles, guiding teams through best practices and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and adaptability.
- Monitor and Report Performance: Track team performance using metrics and dashboards, providing regular status updates, highlighting risks, and celebrating successes with stakeholders.
- Mentor and Coach Teams: Offer guidance and support to team members, helping them develop their skills and fostering a collaborative, high-performing environment. Encourage self-organization and outcome-focused thinking.
- Facilitate Effective Communication: Act as a bridge between development teams and stakeholders, ensuring clear and open lines of communication at all levels.
- Drive Process Improvement: Encourage feedback and implement changes to enhance team processes and product quality. Identify opportunities for improvement and lead initiatives for change.
- Ensure High-Quality Deliverables: Collaborate closely with QA to ensure products meet the highest standards of quality. Support teams in adhering to the Definition of Ready and Definition of Done.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Work with other Scrum Masters across various product areas to align and standardize agile processes throughout the organization.
Qualifications:
- Certification: Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent from a recognized institution.
- Education: Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience: 6+ years in a software development environment with proven experience leading teams in delivering large-scale projects using agile frameworks.
Preferred Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of agile frameworks, including Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) or Large-Scale Scrum (LeSS).
- Strong leadership and organizational abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Expertise in facilitating effective meetings and discussions.
- Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Strong analytical skills and situational awareness to guide teams through change effectively.
