Role

  • Design and develop Android applications for healthcare professionals and patients, specifically for insulin pump management and control
  • Implement user interfaces using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose, including custom components and animations for real-time insulin delivery data visualization
  • Develop backend integration using RESTful APIs and Room for local storage of insulin pump data and settings
    Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following best practices
    Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards
    Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and medical device experts
    Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in Android development and diabetes management technology.

Requirements

  • Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Android SDK
  • Solid understanding of Jetpack Compose and Material Design principles
  • Experience with Room and SQLite for managing local insulin pump data
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs and JSON parsing for communicating with insulin pumps
  • Knowledge of Android security best practices and HIPAA compliance
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and continuous integration/deployment practices
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
