Role
As a Senior MySQL Database Administrator, you will play a crucial role in managing andoptimizing the mission-critical databases that power our e-commerce platform. You will beresponsible for ensuring high levels of performance, availability, and security for our MySQL databases, which handle large volumes of transactions and data. Your expertise will be instrumental in designing and implementing robust database solutions, optimizing query performance, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to align databasestrategies with business requirements. Additionally, you will contribute to database architecture decisions, capacity planning, and the implementation of scalable and highly available database solutions to support our rapidly growing business needs.
Requirements
- Manage the full lifecycle of MySQL databases across multiple environments
- Ensure high performance, availability, and security for mission-critical databases
- Implement and maintain database replication, clustering, and load balancing
- Conduct regular performance tuning and optimization of queries, schemas, and configurations
- Monitor and analyze database performance metrics, addressing potential bottlenecks
- Optimize complex SQL queries for efficiency and maintainability
- Design and implement robust backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies
- Diagnose and resolve database issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Automate routine tasks and processes using scripting languages
- Maintain comprehensive database documentation and procedures
- Implement and enforce MySQL security protocols and compliance
- Contribute to database design decisions and capacity planning
- Stay updated on the latest MySQL releases and best practices

- Salary Range: 40,000 – 50,000 EUR per year
